Lasers are extremely focused light beams which are used by the medical professional to alter or remove tissue in small amounts. Laser surgery is not limited to dentistry. It is used hugely in another sector also. But many people have never heard of laser dentistry before deal with it. Dentists use lasers in various purpose including inside of the mouth, be it to remove overgrown tissue, to whiten teeth to reshape the gums or to reshape the gums. The two main types of lasers are hard tissue and soft tissue lasers. It varies in wavelengths. By alternating the light’s wavelength (and sometimes pulse) scientists have figured out how to craft lasers with light wavelengths compatible with the tissues in your mouth.
