Dental Materials

Dental materials are specially invented materials which are designed for use in dentistry. Different types of dental materials are there and their characteristics vary according to their useful needs. Materials like temporary dressings, endodontic materials (used in root canal therapy),dental restorations (fillings, crowns, bridges), prosthetic materials (dentures) and impression materials dental implants. Dental cements are mainly utilized most often to bond indirect restorations such as crowns to the natural tooth surface. Examples are Zinc Oxide cement, Zinc Phosphate cement, Zinc Polycarboxylate cement, Glass Ionomer cement, Resin based cement and Cupper based cement.
